Three Liquid Eyeshadow Tips

The Younique liquid eyeshadows are one of my favorite products, and for good reason.  They are simple and easy to use.  They don't require a primer and they come with a doe-foot applicator.  So basically you just swipe and go!  You can wear a single color and look fabulous.  Or you can use multiple colors and blend for a more sophisticated look.  But there are three other ways to use liquid eyeshadows that will give a different look.  Let's take a look at these tips:

1.  Use the liquid eyeshadow as a base or transition color and layer powder eyeshadow over it.  I use this tip almost every day.  I like to use Businesslike (a very pale pink) or Promising (a pale peach) as my base and then layer other colors from Addiction Palette 9 over them...on the outer and inner corner of my eyes or in the middle of the lid.  Not only does it look great, but it doesn't crease, smudge or flake off even after a 10 or 12 hour day.

2.  Love one of the new shades but feel the color is a little too intense?  Here's a solution I found:  don't apply the color with the doe-foot applicator.  Instead use a cream eyeshadow brush and pull a bit of color from the applicator and then apply it to your eye.  You'll get a much smaller amount of product and when you blend the color will be muted and sheer.

3.  Use the liquid eyeshadow as an eyeliner.  Similar to tip #2, use an eyeliner brush and pull a bit of color from the applicator.  Use this to line your eyes along your lashline, either upper, lower or both.  I've tried this using Promising and the new Rambunctious (a navy blue) and it looked gorgeous!

Hopefully these tips will give you some ideas for extending the use of the liquid eyeshadows.  Don't forget, this month (August) the liquid eyeshadows are part of the special bundle sale:  pick any liquid eyeshadow, and mascara and either a Opulence lipstick or Hottie lip plumper for $72. Yes, please! The three new shades shown below ARE included in this deal.
